Logo Design Brief

We need a logo design for a new tech startup company based in Copenhagen, Denmark called 'fa.te'.
The name of our company is the merging of 'fashion' and 'tech' and also plays on the fact that the team behind the company believe that this is our fate - to create this company together.
The company focuses on three main areas; management consulting in fashion businesses, angel investing in tech startups and lastly we will use a combination of our knowledge in fashion and the insights gained through tech investments to create our own tech driven fashion brand.
The company should visually come across as clean/simple, authentic/ trustworthy, while also being a little fashionably cheeky - and of course something that will be easy to remember and connect to. The logo design can be spelled both in small letters (fa.te), with capital letters (FA.TE) or a combination (Fa.Te.) based on what you decide looks best.
Besides the text, the logo design should include a small logo as part of the overall logo design. We were thinking to change the dot in the middle of 'fa.te' to some sort of logo, that should still look like/represent a dot, but looking closer it should be a logo in itself, that we could use on a stand alone basis as well.
We are not looking for something super colorful, but more toned down and elegant, though a color is definetly allowed, as we do not wish just a black&white logo design.
The logo design should work across email signatures, in presentations, websites, as well as offline on a e.g. a storefront.
We have attached a selection of logo designs that we think are great and in some way represents what we are looking for in look/feel/font (especially the 'tapestry' and ':copper' logo designs).
