Book Cover Design Brief

I need a book cover that will appeal to middle grade student readers (9-12 year-olds).The genre is fiction appealing to young dog lovers interested in travel and adventure. Overall expectation is a book cover that is clear, compelling, clever. Will consider any designs. Suggestions/info follow. Book title is: Expedition to the Frozen Continent. Illustration should cover at least half of the front. Title to cover at least 1/8th, logo cover (upper left?) at least 1/8th, and author name, R. E. Burke, cover(lower?) 1/4th. The logo (see upload) will be on all future book covers in the series (could be on the back or front). Spine to include: Burke. Buddy the Globetrotter: Expedition to the Frozen Continent. Leave space on back cover for brief book summary, possible logo, and ISBN (traditional lower right location). Photos for ideas are uploaded. Example suggestions: Buddy (from logo or variation of real Buddy Maltese) standing on ship deck looking over rail at scenery; Buddy pulling ship onto the ice, Buddy among the penguins,Buddy next to me on summit, etc.
