Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated is a private, not-for-profit organization founded in 1913 by 22 phenomenal trendsetters who saw no limit to their vision for sisterhood, scholarship and service. The sorority currently has 1,000 collegiate and alumnae chapters located in the United States, Canada, Japan (Tokyo and Okinawa), Germany, the Virgin Islands, Bermuda, the Bahamas, Jamaica and the Republic of Korea.
The Okinawa Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated is located on Kadena Air Base in Okinawa, Japan. We have a new group of ladies who will be joining our sorority very soon and would like to create a shirt to commemorate them. These 6 women will be called the 6 Degrees of Separation due to the fact that they all come from different places, yet ended up in Okinawa, Japan together to become members of DST. The numbers 22, 1913, and our 9 jewels are vary important to us. We would like to incorporate Africa (the original place these ladies came from) and Okinawa (the place where they all met) into the design. We would also like a crown placed on Africa with 9 red jewels on it or 22 pearls. Our colors are crimson and creme.
