Logo Design Brief

We're looking for a new logo for a small consultancy in transport infrastructure, specializing in rail systems design and technical advisory. The company is called Gazelle - which should be the focus of the inspiration for the logo. The initial inspiration for the name was the analogy of animals to describe certain kinds or organisations - 1) ants - small businesses like corner shops, 2) Elephants - huge companies like Microsoft, Boeing etc and 3) Gazelles - mid sized companies that drive 80% of all innovation and growth across many sectors. The beauty and grace of Gazelles is inspiration (minus the ones that get eaten by lions)
The current design has been with us for 10 years and is due for a refresh. Logo design should be able to be used in multiple formats, Web, print, document headers and footers etc.
A preference of 1-2 colors, with the exception of black or grey.
Prefer a simple, elegant design.

Must have

• Logo,
  Simple, clean lines

Nice to have

• Name with stylised or abstract image
  Simplicity and clean lines
  Able to be applied to multiple formats
  Some kind of imagery/symbol in the logo with the name that could also be used independently with the name.

Should not have

• Too many colors, not too busy or complex in graphic design
  No detailed horns, or even showing both horns.
  No detailed images of gazelles - only extremely stylized, elegant silhouettes - if that's the approach you take in your submission.
  No heavy mechanical/engineering imagery.
