Logo Design Brief

WEB and PRINT 3-COLOR LOGO for National conference on library instruction, with an emphasis on instruction. Audience are academic librarians, progressive and intellectual. LOEX is non profit org -- http://www.loexconference.org/ (for previous year's logo, etc). Theme is "Innovation Grows Here: Information Literacy on the Vine." Conference is being held in East Bay, Calif. so looking for inspiration based on local topography (Mt, Diablo) and wineries, along with the conference ethos of innovation and growth. Three colors ONLY (plus white) for PRINT and WEB use. Please no library or librarians stereotypes, no books, no computer screens, etc. Three color only, plus white, as above. Would like to incorporate geography of mountain in background, with vineyard in foreground (can incorporate trellises and grapes). Open to ideas on how or whether to incorporate innovation as a concept in the logo. The fact that it is a library conference does not matter to logo; it is more about theme of growth, innovation, and that it reflects the geography of this conference as it is in a different location every year. Files provided are two draft logos for this year (minus the bridge) and the 2015 logo for "Perfect Your Craft" -- we want to avoid portraying the mountains this way again.
