Logo Design Brief

*** UPDATE - Please read original brief as well but wanted to update on the look and feel I am hoping to accomplish ***
As a result of this contest I chose a preliminary winning design but when I reached out to the designer to make changes I realized his account was no longer active on DesignCrowd. I am looking for a designer to mimic the look and feel of the design but with a few changes/adjustments. I have added a new file to show what I am looking for. (updated logo design)
** ORIGINAL BRIEF **
We need a logo refresh for the current logo for Red Door Real Estate, a boutique real estate company in Quincy MA. Looking to keep some identifying aspects of our logo but have someone refresh the logo with a more modern and sleek design. Many of our competitors are going with a more minimalist style logo and want to sort of mimic that style but keep the logo recognizable to people in our community. I would like to see designs that keeps the red/crimson color and some sort of a door in the updated logo, possibly accentuate the letter R and letter D in the name "Red Door". I hate our current font and think that needs to be modernized as well. I think the most eye-catching and memorable items of our logo is the capitalized r in red and capitalized d in door, also having an actual red door or some sort of graphical interpretation of a door with possibly keeping a roof over the logo. While I plan on buying new signage with new logo, I will need to keep some of our current signage and integrate the new logo gradually so I need them to be consistent enough to do that. My main focus of this project is the main logo refresh.

We would also like to have a coordinating logo icon or monogram (abbreviated logo) that we can use on some marketing pieces that mimics the same look and feel of our main logo but on a smaller scale. I feel the main logo would need to be designed first and then tweaked a little bit to make a smaller more abbreviated, icon version. I feel that using the initials RD that is consistent with the main logo in the logo icon and either a red door inside one of the letters or incorporated into the icon somewhere would help keep a consistent look and feel with the main logo. it would be great to have these seem items Incorporated in the main low though so a logo icon might be easier to coordinate with everything.

2020 is our 10 year anniversary so the final design should communicate that we are keeping "up with the times" but still holding on to our core brand.

Red Door Real Estate - this is the full name of our company. I think including real estate in the logo is important to portray the services we offer but open to only using Red Door if the design can portray our services without it.

Requirements

Must have

• Crimson/red door or some sort of graphic representation of a door, I do not have a specific shade of red but prefer more of a crimson red. prefer not to have a red with orange understones.

Nice to have

• We currently have a roof over the logo, does not have to include that but can if designer feels is necessary
