Logo Design Brief

I am looking for a new logo that is outdoorsy, nature based for my Parks and Recreation department. I have two images that we currently use attached. I like the simplicity of the oak leaf but I want the new logo to be eye catching, exciting. Our neighboring community also uses an oak leaf in their logo. We offer a lot of outdoor recreation such as boating, fishing, Beaches, kayak and canoeing, walking, hiking and nature watching. Not so much normal park stuff like playgrounds and sports related. We are known for world class trout fishing.
