Logo Design Brief

I’m after a logo for my new construction company.
I’m after something fresh looking, that will catch the eye of it was in a list of other construction logos on an Instagram feed, for example.
I like font based logos that incorporate a symbol that can be used on its own to identify the brand.

Ill attach a friends logo that I like, that ticks all the boxes of my description. But it can not be similar to his because we work in similar areas.
Upper or lower case letters can be used as you see fit.
