Logo Design Brief

We need a logo design for a new customer and user research office based in Recife city, state of Pernambuco (Brazil). We provide deep research into user and customer behaviors, analyzing trends and suggesting changes into products and portfolios. We also help companies to build their design and research operations. Our work is to observe what people do, to understand what they want and to translate it in what they need.

We see ourselves as connectors, the plaster between many bricks: linking people, businesses and values. That way, we try to uncover the many "tribal aspects" behind consumption, not the old tribes, but the digital and post-digital ones.

We adopted the name Wendigo because of the folklorical implications it brings to the our work. It is about the mystery behind people choices. You can predict many behaviors and see a lot of accuracy in their decisions, but there is always that 1% chance of things turning to a very different way. "We ate the past to design the future". This is what Wendigo is.

Our logo has to be something tribal, collective, crude, but very upfront, futuristic, sci-fied. Good aesthetical examples are works such as Horizon Zero Dawn and Forbidden West; Wakanda; The Last Airbender. They mix the ancient and the new very organically. It has to be something that works as both symbol (logomark) and text (logotype), together and separated. We also like futuristic crests and badges, or fictional society symbols (see Star Wars Rebel's crest or even the imperial brand).

We prefer neutral colors, specially white, gray, cream, black and earthy colors. However, I am very open to your creativity, just give something unique and memorable. <3
