Logo Design Brief

The start of the AFL season will officially begin in March we're looking to raise awareness of the institutional racism experienced by Indigenous Australian players, in a creative and thought-provoking way. There has been a long history of racism in the sport, but in Australia this has been felt particularly hard by the Indigenous community.

We're calling on its network of designers to create a variety of Australian aboriginal/Indigenous themed logos for both the AFL and individual team logos.

These could range from logos re-imagined with Indigenous dot art, designs inspired by Aboriginal Dreamtime stories or incorporating the Indigenous flag.

Please consider researching Australian Indigenous/Aboriginal culture and art for inspiration before submitting any designs.

These logos should be designed with social media sharability in mind as the goal of the campaign is to encourage the AFL clubs to change their logo on social media to pick off the 2022 AFL season.
