Logo Design Brief
*** UPDATE: Thank you all for submissions so far. And to clarify, please kindly note that I am happy to see all sorts of ideas and interpretations that encapsulate the concepts I am going for!! Doesn't have to use any or all elements from my own poorly-drawn concept :-) ***
Logo for Chartered Professional Accountant company based on Vancouver Island, in BC, Canada. I am a sole proprietor firm, and I am looking to give small & medium sized businesses the boost they need by providing innovative, in-house CPA services to companies that can't afford to hire one full time. All the big companies have teams of CPAs working for them, from Sr Accountants up through Controllers, CFOs, and VP Finance, and I want to offer smaller companies and freelancers/self-employed businesses some of the same advantages that brings.
The company name has a double meaning. First and most obvious, to give a boost to something, to make it better, to improve, to imply helping a company to boost their profitability, boost performance, etc.
It is also a play on "Boost" in mountain biking/snowboarding/etc. lingo, where it means to jump really high off of a jump, higher than normal/most people would. A person could say "I'm gonna boost it" or something to that effect and then go huge. I am an avid mountain biker & snowboarder, and own a freestyle action sports business and use ramps like the one in the attached files, so I want my accounting company to somewhat tie into my overall image of me and my businesses.
My (very poorly drawn) logo example is an extremely rough idea of how to try and convey some of the meanings I am going for. In it, the image is meant to show a curved ramp like mtn bikes would use, but I also imagine it is like a graph showing something increasing over time.
NONE of the elements in my example have to remain (i.e the "Boost" text getting bigger over time, the arrow-stylized "T", etc. ), this was just an attempt to put an idea to paper. I am not an artistic person naturally so my ability to convey ideas is not great. Hence why I am an accountant ;)
Thank you all so much for your submissions!!!
