Logo Design Brief

We need a logo and business card designed for a new software company called "Elucidate Systems".
The company is a reseller of new software that scans through online social media websites to provide a report about themes, connections, geographic locations of interest and intelligence, etc. The software also has other scanning applications such as searching through large databases to provide reports to the database owner.
We would like to see designs that use darker colours predominantly black, grey, sliver, dark blue however we are open to other ideas and colour combinations. The design should be modern, simple and communicate themes such as knowledge, information, data, analysis, strength. The logo should be simple, professional and modern.
