Here is a link to the exact cartoonish image that I was referring to. I bought the rights to use it: https://www.dropbox.com/s/airpqzaz9vxjibo/SB135_Condor?dl=0
I’ve been given updated regulations from the Air Force Civil Air Patrol. Most of the proposed patches are perfect and fit the guidelines. Only a few are out of this new policy. Hopefully this will not impact your design much at all. Thank you for all that you have done so far.
Shape:
Must be a disc or circle with two bars. One on top and one on bottom.
The top bar must contain “
The bottom bar must contain “Santa Barbara Comp Squadron 135”
No copy or text within the circle is allowed.
All symbols and elements must be placed within the parameters of the disc or shield.
Colors:
No shading, or other special effects.
No more than six colors; black and white included.
Use the official colors and metals (whenever possible) but not required: Ultramarine Blue (Pantone Reflex Blue C), Silver Gray (Pantone 422 C), Pimento Red (Pantone 200 C), and Air Force Yellow (Pantone 116 C). See the CAPR 150-2 Brand Identity Program for more details. Use Air Force Yellow (Pantone 116 C) on the border of a shield.
General Guidelines:
Emblem design should be uncluttered and as simple as possible. A simple, clean design is much easier to reproduce as a patch, letterhead, or other rendition.
If “135” doesn’t fit in the bottom bar, I just learned that it can be left off. Therefore you’d just put “Santa Barbara Comp Squadron” in the bottom bar.
