Logo Design Brief

I need a suite of logo designs.

The first is for the holding company called "Rt. 5 Holding Co." that owns the two other related entities. Rt. 5 is the rural mail route that three generations of my family grew up on. It is my family's holding company.

The second is for the land and cattle company called "Rt. 5 Land & Cattle Co." Its business model is that we buy land cheap enough to pay for it running cattle. I am a 3rd generation rancher and our legacy is deeply rooted in South Texas. We care passionately about the land and see ourselves merely as stewards to guide the ranch to the next generation.

The third is for the energy company called "Rt. 5 Energy Co." It is an oil and gas, wind, and water company which specializes in brokering deals across Texas and New Mexico.

I would like the logos to be clean, simple, but related. I have uploaded a logo that I designed myself in Microsoft Paint as a GENERAL idea. I do not like it, but the feel of a cattle brand for the primary logo is the general design I am looking for.
