Logo Design Brief

I want a logo from 2012 to be redesigned/updated for a relaunch of an innovative and award winning folding bicycle and scooter helmet.
The original design was created by a DesignCrowd project and I would like it to be revamped without losing the (look and) feel of the brand.
I am attaching the original winning design.
