Logo Design Brief

I am starting a dog training company named Total K9 that focuses on advanced behavioral modification.. I am looking to have a log created for the company with an abbreviation of TK9 and incorporates a german shepherd in the log. I am looking for a strong logo that makes a statement when you look at it. I would also like to see ideas where it says and does not say dog training. I do not want the logo to look cartoonish.
