Logo Design Brief

I have recently purchased an accommodation business in NZ called Buffalo Lodge. It is on a property of 5 acre's in native bush (forest) with stunning views of the Hauraki Gulf. It can be viewed @buffalolodge_nz instagram handle or www.buffalolodge.co.nz. It hosts 4 ensuite rooms and also a private studio on the property. I inherited the name for this business from the previous owner and have decided to keep it, however, the old logo does not represent the new business I am building. I am working to provide a much more high end offering that showcases a keen eye and focus on interior design. The lodge itself was architecturally designed and we also hope to highlight that beauty. In general we are going for sophisticated, elevated, and something you would see in Architectural digest. However, I don't want it to be stiff since the place is very quirky and interesting. It has a ton of character so I hope to have that reflected as well. The design itself is 60's and 70's inspired with influences from Alvar Alto (Artek) and Charlotte Perriand. It is also really important to note that the name "Buffalo Lodge" was not named for the animal, but rather we are located at 860 Buffalo Road. Due to this I really do not want the Buffalo to be emphasised as there are none on the property and it causes some confusion. In terms of colour we like things that reflect the nature around and also colours in line with the style. Studio Sutram bedding has some lovely colours like "Half Blue" and "Maize" that we use for our bedding, that could be interesting to try.
