We are looking for a logo design for a new Anglican Church rooted in the Bible and Christian Tradition.
We would like the design to include historic Christian symbolism such as the Canterbury Cross, the simplified Trinity Knot, olive branch or laurel, fire/dove, or a crown. It should not include all of these symbols and it could be very simple with only one or include a few. Other traditional Christian symbolism may be included as inspiration or design.
We would also like the design to be consistent with the aesthetics of the building. It does not need to be a picture of the building per se, but inspired by its architecture, lines, and design. The church is a historic Gothic Revival stone building set in rural America. While large and imposing, it is simple in shape and material. Made of large grey stones the building has a large flat triangular facade that faces a fork in the road. It has one bell tower that is short with a castle design. Stained glass ordains each side of the building.
While we want depth and meaning, simplicity and clarity is key when it comes to the design aesthetic.
We would like the colors to be on the cool/light side with a primary color of green. White, yellows, blues, and blacks/greys might also work.
