Solo Trip is a female-driven psychedelic adventure film about spiritual self-discovery. It's Reese Witherspoon’s Wild on acid--a darkly funny, deeply intimate moment unfolding in altered time.

In Solo Trip, Roxanne hijacks her ex-boyfriend's acid and hauls out into the wild--alone--to prove she only needs to count on herself. But strangers, Mother Nature, and her own mind have other plans for her, including some phantoms she'll need to embrace.
Solo Trip is gently gritty, playfully intellectual, and, at times, strangely sexy. It blends soft-core thrill, French existential dialogue, and cinéma vérité storytelling into an experimental tapestry. There's a strong ensemble cast, unique original score, stunning visuals of nature, and surprising FX. Thematically, the film tackles "Toxic Independence" -- how mixed messages about self-love and self-importance have left us with the absurd determination to do life alone.
What We Need
A poster that packs a punch while conveying these complex elements as cleanly and beautifully as possible. We want to push past the line of "artsy microbudget film" into "professionally budgeted movie for sale."
1) We're looking for *some* photorealism in a key image (part of Roxanne's face or nature) somewhere in the art, but probably not a standard, fully recognizable front-facing face as the central image.
2) Our Draft Poster (attached) has many positive qualities that could be worth re-exploring: the eyes in the red skies, the smaller image of the character meditating in nature, and even the spork doubling as a spaceship and the colorful/graphic-looking acid (drugs) taking center stage work well. However, we need a clearer and more professional look overall and we are not committed to this design. We'd like the artist to feel free to go in a totally different direction where they see the most potential.
3) We will request all file types / the PSD in the turnaround of this design, and **want the artist to consider how Festival Laurels will eventually fit into the design.**
4) The current tagline is "A Toxically Independent Journey", but we want to also explore "A Toxic Inner Journey" or "One Hell of an Inner Journey" (especially if the red skyscape is used).

Requirements
Must have
- A jaw-dropping central image plus some absurd or thought-provoking
Nice to have
- Eyes in the skies or similar; use of landscape; graphics similar to the red acid, spork, drugs or absurd allusions to the universe, heaven v. hell, or tripping; a sense of danger or tranquility or both juxtaposed
Should not have
- anything too traditionally monotheistic (we lean more hippie/secular inquiry)
