Logo Design Brief

We are a recreational soccer league. Our full name is "US REC Soccer League". Attached is a rough draft of our idea for a logo. We are open to any completely different ideas though. Incorporating a soccer ball would be ok, but not required. Adding the words "Soccer League" would also be ok, but not required. We do like the simplicity of just having the text "US REC".
