Tattoo Design Brief

My daughter and I want to get matching octopus tattoos similar in style to the attached picture. Hers will be on her posterior shoulder, mine will be on my right forearm. The artist we are using says the detail in this pic requires the tattoo be at least 15 cm but I’d like to keep it more in the 8-9 cm range. Can you draw/adapt this design to have fewer fine details so we can have the smaller tattoo? We will being having it shaded in red/purple, kind of watercolor style
