Project Overview

We are looking for a talented WordPress designer/developer to create a clean, professional and inviting direct-booking website for Old Mill Charm, an established short-term vacation rental in Bend, Oregon.

The property is currently successfully listed on Airbnb and Vrbo. Our Airbnb property has approximately a 4.98-star rating with more than 200 reviews, is an Airbnb Guest Favorite, and ranks among the Top 1% of eligible homes.

Project Budget: $750

We will select the designer based on the quality of the initial concept, understanding of the property, proposed booking solution and ability to deliver a completed and functioning WordPress website.

IMPORTANT — Direct Booking & Credit Card Requirements

We want guests to be able to book directly through the website without having to contact us first.

The website should use a proven WordPress vacation-rental booking plugin or system rather than a custom-built reservation/payment system.

Guests should be able to:

Stripe is our preferred credit-card processor.

Credit-card information must be processed securely through Stripe or another established payment processor. Credit-card information should NOT be stored directly on our WordPress website.

Airbnb & Vrbo Calendar Synchronization

This is very important.

The direct-booking calendar must synchronize with our existing Airbnb and Vrbo calendars to reduce the possibility of double bookings.

For this single-property website, we prefer a simple solution using Airbnb/Vrbo calendar or iCal synchronization rather than an expensive monthly channel-management service, if practical.

The designer should clearly identify the booking plugin/system they propose using.

IMPORTANT — Tell Us Your Proposed Booking Solution

As part of your submission, please tell us:

Which WordPress booking plugin/system you recommend.
Whether it synchronizes availability with Airbnb and Vrbo.
Whether it integrates directly with Stripe.

We own the completed WordPress website.
We receive full WordPress administrator access.
We control the domain and hosting accounts.
We own all custom design files created for the project.
All necessary login credentials are provided to us.
The website can be moved to another WordPress hosting provider in the future.
There should be no proprietary dependency on the developer after completion.
