T-shirt Design Brief

Overall theme: Old-school Hollywood / vintage neon sign aesthetic, but designed specifically for screen printing.
Main name: HUDSON JOHNSON, with JOHNSON not in cursive. It should resemble lettering from an old-school glowing Hollywood neon sign.
Colors: Limited to 6 screen-print colors, using gold, white, black, and shades of gray. No full-color gradients that can't realistically be screen printed.
Car: Hudson’s actual #27 sprint car from the reference image. Keep the car recognizable and do not change the shape or proportions of the top wing. The top wing reads SUPERFLO.
Hollywood sign: Include the vertical “HOLLYWOOD” sign on the left side of the composition.
Film element: Add a wavy film strip across/along the upper outline of the overall design.
Hollywood stars: Incorporate Hollywood Walk of Fame-style stars, with “Hudson Johnson” inside one of the stars.
Lighting treatment: White lettering/elements should give the illusion of glowing neon, while still being achievable with flat screen-print inks.
Overall shape: A cohesive, layered racing-shirt back graphic—not a bunch of disconnected Hollywood icons. Keep the car as the hero, with the Hollywood elements framing it rather than overpowering it.
The key visual was basically “Hollywood Boulevard at night meets dirt-track sprint car racing.” The gold/white/black/gray palette keeps it looking premium instead of cheesy Vegas neon. I attached examples for inspo and an image of the car.
It needs to have a bigger design for the back of the shirt and a smaller design for the front left pocket of the shirt/hats.
