Logo Design Brief

I need a logo for a rural land surveying company. We are located in the St Francois mountains of Southern Missouri. Our primary focus is boundary surveying. I would like to use muted natural colors. Design should help communicate experience and trustworthiness. I want it to have the feel of an established company, while this is a new business I have worked in the industry for 30 years and have 22 years as a licensed professional. The logo I uploaded is the best I could come up with on my own but I am not happy with it at all.

Must have

• Full name of the business, this is required on my title blocks and letterheads

Nice to have

• Mountains as a backdrop, but think Ozark and Appalachian not Rocky Mountains, maybe the silhouette of a piece of survey equipment or surveyor, a representation of a land survey monument

Should not have

• no imagery of GPS satellites whizzing through the air
