Type of company and services:
HighPointe Center provides services to adults with developmental disabilities (DD).
Understanding the clients

“Clients” are the individuals with developmental disabilities that receive services directly from HighPointe Center. Initially, the age of clients will be young adults; 20 to 30 years of age with the program expanded to include services to older adults in the future.
Understanding HighPointe Center services
People with developmental disabilities can have a broad range of abilities to function independently and in society. For many people with DD, their days consist of attending programs in facilities outside of their homes. HighPointe Center is one of these programs. These programs are also referred to as Adult Day Programs (ADP).
Services provided by ADPs can vary from provider to provider. Some programs provide vocational training while others provide extensive involvement in the community.
HighPointe Center will focus on the needs of the individual client in our program designs.
Who are the primary viewers of the Logo
Generally the individuals with DDs will not be making choices as to which Adult Day Program that they attend. The decisions may rest with a parent or guardian. The logo must make sense to these individuals.
What elements do we want to emphasize
The logo should not overtly say “disability”, e.g. no wheelchair image. The design should look clean and modern while appealing to people from age 20 to 60. The logo will be used in print and on the web site thus should not be overly complicated. The logo should be appealing with or without a tag line used with it. The design including the colors should convey trust, confidence, safety and compassion.
The use of the word “HighPointe” may be presented as “HighPointe”, or “Highpointe”
