How long is this contest going to stay open? It seems to have been open for months now and with over 400 designs, I would think that you've found something to work with.

I suspect this user is no longer active or has used a design submitted and not bothered to follow through with payment and/or close this down. Perhaps the admins can remove this now?

Awaiting for the right design. I''ve had to hire a freelance designer on the side because this process is taking so long.
Still trying to give design crowd a chance. My payment is already guaranteed as it is.

Well over 400 designs? Maybe if you got more involved in the design process you would not have to be, 'awaiting the right design' as you put it. Well over 7 months and you have only just eliminated my design with the standard comment, 'Thanks for your submission but this is not what I'm after. Please try again.' (which is ok if it's not what you are looking for). Design is very fluid and creative process that needs to keep moving and adapting to achieve the best results which requires both parties designer and client to have a strong creative interaction with one another. Fail to do this and I suspect you will never arrive at a solution that will work for you. I am only saying this because I love design and hope this helps you get the design you want.

A ha! the "I've had to hire a freelance designer on the side" comment tells it all. But if this project is guaranteed doesn't the owner have to choose someone and pay them?

I figure some of the project owners check out all the designs and then get a freelance for cheaper to copy the design the owner likes. I hope that's not the case.

It's now April 4th and still this is being decided on...is it possible that the project owner could do the decent thing and post their result, be it one from the 100's submitted or from their freelance designer? At least those designers that have submitted would know where they stood...just seems very unprofessional not to give updates on a project like this, especially if as they say, payment is guaranteed.

7 Months should be sufficient time to pick a winner - 400+ designs, surely there is one that is worthy. Designers put in the time to give you designs, give them the respect by picking a winner.
