Not to be unhelpful, but most dental websites really suck.  I have spent hours scouring the internet and have come up unimpressed.  In my area, the person with the best website, and perhaps the only one I like is:

It's worth noting that for reference/inspirational designs, we don't need examples that are in the same industry (ie. dentistry). You can provide website links for anything, just as long as the style (colours, fonts, and so on) is representative of your tastes.

I don''t really go to too many random websites, so I don''t have a great link.  However, on evaluating many excellent submissions here, I like websites whose homepages are relatively short from top to bottom (shouldn''t need to scroll much).  It should contain contact information,location, and an area to request an appointment (really just name, phone number, email address, and possibly comments).  It can highlight anything else you think may look nice, like procedures (dental implants, cosmetics). Other pages on the website would include: team, services, portfolio, our office, patient resources, and contact us.  We can nail down the nitty gritty of the other pages once I pin down the home page
