Logo Design Brief
We need a logo design for a new company that is online only, targeted at PC gamers and is called "Hero Ping" (can also be used as "HeroPing", no space). We provide an "internet speed boost" service that improves the speed and response rate in the major online games played around the world (for the technically minded, we have direct connections to major game servers and offer SSH tunneling which lowers gamer's Pings by 30-80%).
We want to communicate speed (fire?), power (lightning bolts?), yet a focus gaming....yet not be cheesy. Currently, our website uses 4 main colors - Black, Grey, White and vibrant Orange (think Lamborghini).
We are currently in the process of conceptualizing a "Hero" to form a major graphic on our website but would prefer him to NOT feature in the logo.
The winning logo artist (if they have the applicable skills) can expect a direct Freelance job for the "Hero" drawing since we would like to maintain the link.
UPDATE: I've received text-based submissons only but would be also very interested to see some Pictoral/Emblem style logos, badge style? You decide!

We have been getting a lot of text based logos, and while some are great, we would really like to get some emblem or pictorial project based logos as stated in the brief.

Target Market(s)
PC gamers from a variety of countries, English may not be first language, but the focus IS English. Gamers likely to be aged between 16 to 35 and equally split between male/females. Our target is dedicated/hardcore game players, we do not expect large sales in the casual-gamer market since this is a performance product.
