Logo Design Brief
We need a logo design for an existing third generation family business with multiple locations called Haggard Chiropractic. We provide healthcare to many types of patients, but we want our logo to appeal specifically to our two primary target markets:
1. Auto-debit: Patients who will commit to, pro-actively participate in, complete and pay for (regardless of insurance coverage) a program of care due to a strong desire to relieve physical pain or proactively prevent a problem. Due to their commitment, these patients will usually agree to pay for their program with an auto-debit program. Thus for simplicity, we will refer to them as the auto-debit market.
2. Personal Injury: Patients who have sustained significant personal injury, such as in a motor vehicle crash or on the job injury. These patients’ care is usually covered by a third party, such as someone else’s auto-insurance or worker’s compensation insurance.
We would like to see designs that use at least one color known for high visibility and retention:
1. Red
2. Orange
3. Yellow
And we want to see designs that use the colors brown and black to provide the emotional associations of rich, reliable, high in quality and warm.
We want to see designs that use an oval shape due to its high visibility, retention, preference and ability to evoke emotional gratification of a deep-seated and primitive nature.
We want to see designs that will perform well in color or black and white. The logo must be simple enough to be scalable for use in electronic media, printed materials, clothing and signage. We want to see logo designs that can be combined with either unique selling proposition of our primary target markets. We plan to vary the electronic media, printed materials and clothing to target market each primary target.
We want designs that are in alignment with our positioning strategy, unique selling proposition and positioning statements for both primary target markets.
1. Auto-debit Market:

c. Positioning Statement: We provide life-changing, dependable pain relief by treating the cause of your problem.
2. Personal Injury Market:
a. Positioning Strategy: Haggard Chiropractic has been providing accident victims with comprehensive injury assessments and trusted pain relief since 1959. Haggard Chiropractic ensures that all aspects of your injuries are understood, detailed and properly addressed through accident reconstruction science. Haggard Chiropractic understands the impact injuries have on your life and maximizes patient convenience and comfort during assessment and care.
b. Unique Selling Proposition (depending on audience):

Reason: We met as a group and reviewed all designs. None of the designs pleased the group but, we have better clarity to what we want after viewing the different designs and discussing their implications. We have requested specific design changes and optimistically reopened the project for another day.
