we wrote an extension for an existing software product. our extension brings more features, an extended UI, more options. we like to represent with 2 pictures the "standard" version of the product, and the "advanced" version, which is the standard product+extension. So, we need to symbolize such standard vs. tuned version. What is used to symbolize is up to you. Our customers are machinery customers and we are in the software industry, so, objects out that space are more appropriate.
