I'm with you.... So you're kinda like Libertarians?

by Project Owner on Saturday, September 15, 2012

A little, perhaps, though the main difference would be that Libertarians tend to promote the rights of the individual without acknowledging the individual''s responsibilities in being a part of society.  We, on the other hand, believe that common sense, personal responsibility and mutual respect are as important as personal freedoms... you can''t have any one without the other three.

Mostly, though, we''re just angry at our spineless, self serving politicians, our meddling bureaucrats, our greedy corporations and the intolerance of religion.  Bloody angry!

I'm a mixture of Libertarianism and Anarchism myself, I disagree with you on those principles because I think that as long as you don't physically harm anyone you're allowed to be as unpleasant as you like, being for personal freedom means accepting both the good and bad parts of human interaction. If you can't accept that then you are no better than the people you claim to fight against and you're just trying to enforce your own idealistic utopia on everyone and human beings don't work like that.

That said, I find your party interesting and as I said I accept the bad parts of human interaction as well as the good and I do enjoy seeing my political enemies attack each other in embarrassing ways. I'll see what I can come up with though it would be helpful if you had any ideas on what kind of colour scheme etc. you had in mind because it helps artists a lot otherwise anything they come up with is guess work.

Let me know if my sketch is to your liking, need to fix things up obviously but that's what I had in mind.

Thanks for your comment Loire.
I have to say that I used to think the rule in life was that anything goes, as long as that "anything" didn't harm or effect others, but I've softened that quite a bit. What I've learned through experience is that you can't predict unintended consequences and so while "freedom" is an imperative, so is the need to think and act beyond self. Societies need some "rules", but not at the expense of common sense and personal responsibility.
As for colour scheme, I really didn't have any preferences there. Clearly red is the colour of anger, but I didn't want to restrict the designs to that.
Cheers

Feel free to give me some feedback, need to know if this is what you want before I fix it up further.
