Logo Design Brief

We are a premium brand t-shirt company aimed at the more mature male market (40 to 65 years).

Target audience: Growing old doesn’t mean you are past it. Our customers have worked hard and made a success of their lives. They are still young at heart. They may look 50 on the outside but inside they are still 25!

They range from small business owners to CEO’s to more eccentric characters with their own brand of style. Some are rich in wealth, some are rich in experience. They love life and having fun. And all of them have style!

They love rock music. After all, most of the bands who fill stadiums are now in their 40’s, 50’s and 60’s.

Requirements

Must have

• The design should be a nice clean text logo and easy to read – I LOVE outstanding typography – it needs to be fun, simple and a little trendy. It also needs to work on a variety of different color t-shirts and clothing.
  
  The logo should work in both small and large sizes. For example – look good on a coffee mug as clearly as covering a t-shirt.
  
  PLEASE KEEP ALL THE WORDS ABOUT THE SAME SIZE. I have had several designs with the word "Rock" much bigger than the other words. I prefer them all to be roughly the same size.
  
  I do NOT want a background color to the logo.
  
  The logo must appeal to our target market.
  
  I do NOT want a clone of the brand “Old Guys Rule”. However, it shows how effective a clear simple text logo can be. Ours should be a bit more rock’n’roll, but something that befits a premium brand.
  
  Anything from one color up to full color.
  
  If you are going to submit multiple designs please make them different styles. And no more than 6 designs in total please.
  
  Nothing too far out. And please ensure all work is original. Let’s keep it fun and upbeat.
  
  We’ll try our very best to add comments as quickly as possible and also give good honest feedback and help you every step of the way.
  
  We are serious but we also like to rock!

Nice to have

• A logo that will look good on various colors of t-shirts - not just white or black.
  
  Straight text rather than an emblem unless you have an idea that will really capture the essence of the brand.
