Logo Design Brief

We are going to change our approach somewhat by adding 'Equestrian' to the site and therefore the logo...

Acquiring existing company called CAIRNGORM Sporting Supplies Ltd (www.cairngormss.com) which current sells mainly to the game shooting fraternity in the UK.
We are looking to modernise its image, & approach, whist expanding its product lines into Game Fishing, Equestrian, Lifestyle Items, Apparel etc..
This remains a very traditional market so we envisaged the NEW logo as something like a heraldic 'quartered shield' with a Pheasant, Stag, Salmon, and Horse …with the word CAIRNGORM in the banner. Light washed out coloured backgrounds (maybe), a 'Scottish Highlands' feel about it, but contemporary, eye-catching, and relevant whilst still suggesting 'quality & credibility'.
The key website headings will be - Fieldsports, Equestrian, Game Fishing, Apparel, and Lifestyle, …plus the usual 'contact us' etc.etc.
Whilst Greens, browns, yellows, are the main colours used on fieldsports logos (see existing 'cairngormss' website)…we are moving towards a largely monochrome or black & white high quality type of feel with the use of spot colours...but definitely open to variations on the theme and new ideas.
