Card Design Brief

I would like to create a promotional post card to place in coffee shops, churches, concert venues, restaurants, etc.

The Khulula Foundation is public charity seeking to establish an independent school in South Africa is hosting a fundraising event,

An Evening of Inspiration,
Embassy of South Africa (Inside the Intelsat Building, International Drive Entrance)
November 3, 2012 at 6 o'clock.

Guest will imbibe on South African inspired spirits/wines and enjoy South inspired cuisine.

H.E.Ebrahim Rasool South African Ambassador to the United States will give a special address.

The event will feature Jazz Vocalist Akua Allrich with a tribute to Miriam Makeba (http://www.akuaallrich.com/bio) and Ziah and Freedome' El (of the Proverbs Reggae Band) will perform an acoustic tribute to Lucky Dube. (Here is a link to Proverbs' website: http://proverbsreggaeband.com/)


Proceeds from the event will benefit the Khulula Foundation. Here is the mission of the foundation:

The Khulula Foundation seeks to develop the next generation of change-agents from low-income communities in South Africa by providing them with a transformative university preparatory education, steeped in social justice, within their community.

We will carry out our mission by providing financial support to Kgololo Academy which is positioned to open in 2015 in the Alexandra Township.

I would like for the promotional post card to have the colors red, black, and white, and wish for it to have other complimentary colors that will be catchy to the eye.

Requirements

Must have

• I want the artists to be featured on the card. Akua is the main act, so her picture should be more prominent. Freedome' El and Ziah and performing together and are the secondary acts. I really want to play up the entertainment.

Nice to have

• Pictures of the artists in a creative way

Should not have

• Neon Colours, West African theme
