Logo Design Brief
We are launching a new Church called ChristChurch - Temecula (ChristChurch being the name of the church, "Temecula" indicating the city). We hope to be able to expand to other cities so the name of the city needs to be in the logo in such a way that it can be "swapped" out as we, God willing, expand.
This is a Bible based Christian Church. Although a "traditional" church in terms of doctrine it will be a-typical in terms of execution. It is a family integrated church (that means we keep the families together in worship). It is a heavily missions centered church with the idea that people are to attend the church for 2-3 years and then go out and replicate the model (plant a new church). We will also be heavily involved in overseas missions.
In the Bible, the "Church" is not a building, it is a reference to the collective group of people who have believed in Jesus Christ for salvation. So in actuality, the "Church" is "Christians"
We are using this logo in print, on the web and for branding purposes. The Logo will need to have an image element that will be readily identifiable and very clear, in addition to the text (Think panda on top of WWF logo or NBC Peacock)
Needs to be a very versatile, engaging, creative and memorable logo.
Prefer a logo that is colorful but can also be printed b/w as needs dictate. Will also need to work as a vector file (ebrodery, etc.)
Final files need to be supplied in high res with both .tif w/background, .tif with transparent background and layered PSD.
Please consider that this design needs to work well as a website logo as well as larger in banner style, projection, etc.
Below the Logo, the words:
Going. Growing. Giving. Revealing.
Need to be subtly but legibly placed.
Look forward to, God willing, another great logo from Design Crowd. Thanks so much and God bless!
Updates
Guys (and Gals),
First, thank you for all the excellent logos! We're definitely seeing some real winners!
Quick comment, on the graphical element, we'd prefer to see it "interact" with the text, not just be a picture next to the text. While we need the text and the graphic to be separate entities that we can use, for the formal logo, we would like them to interrelate and interact.
For some examples see: FormedYou.com (logo in upper right), McDonalds, Lacoste, Sheba (tha cat food) etc. I'm not saying those are the logos we want but the image and the text are clearly "married" together. That's what we're going for.
Thanks again and God bless! -grant

Project Deadline Extended
Reason: Didn't account for the Thanksgiving Holiday and we know a lot of designers are still editing designs. Thx!

These designs have been outstanding... ! Thank you all!
Based on the number of incredible designs we have seen, we are awarding a second place.
Understanding that this is a late addition to the contest, please let us know if you would prefer your design only be considered for first place (that might mean we will not choose it).
We expect the decision to me made in the next day or so. Again, our thanks to all of the talented designers that, literally, gave us some the best church logos we have ever seen! God bless you all!
