Not really a question, but to answer your briefing a little:
Yes, all logos made here should, in my mind at least, be owned completely by the project owner. Contacting the designer outside of DesignCrowd would prove very difficult in some cases because of privacy here :)

(aside from that, like you said, we should only use original art. Using stock images means it's not a logo but an image. I'm glad you feel the same!)
