Web Design Brief

REIHunter.com is a website that allows real estate investors to search for and find investment grade residential real estate property. The website is up and running, but is in desperate need of a facelift. You can see the existing website at http://www.reihunter.com. REI stands for "Real Estate Investor" by the way.

We just finished our design competition for our logo and are now ready to move on to the website design itself!

The industry is real estate, but it is really just focused on the investor market, so we do not cater to the married couple looking to buy their next house. Our clients are business people searching for properties to buy so they can either resell them at a profit or hold them and rent them out.

On the REIHunter website, the real estate investor can search for properties using a unique search engine that focuses on the financial aspects of property. Once they find a property, the website allows them to quickly and easily make offers on those properties (investment real estate is sometimes a volume game - you might make offers on 20 houses to secure 1 house).

This website is not about "get rich quick" kind of stuff, so designs with a bunch of dollar signs, or things like that is not what I am looking for.
The design should be tailored to the business person (the real estate investor). Thus, it should be serious, but at the same time have a little edge to it.

We are looking to use modern design elements including:
- A Flat Design - no 3D please
- Large Hero Area – with eye catching imagery and verbiage
- Long scrolling page, but sparse content
- Simple color scheme – bold colors ok, but don’t need all the colors of the rainbow represented
- Larger fonts but with less content. More calls to action
- I would really like to investigate the use of cards for our search results. I’m not convinced this will work, but if we can make it work I think it would be impressive.

IMPORTANT: Out site is a bootstrap website, so please ensure that the designs you come up with are capable of being implemented in Twitter BootStrap.

If you are a killer designer, there will be more work to come for you as we have a long list of enhancements that will require ongoing UI work.
