Web Design Brief

UPDATE:
Note that for the home page we are intending to have a slideshow showcasing elements of the resort, as per:

We also need to know how you intend to use the colours to denote subsections, as per the brief below.

Also...the sliders denoting Elegant vs Bold etc seem to have lost their settings. I have reset them to how I believe we set them a couple of weeks ago, but there may be minor differences.

We are developing a website for Taupo DeBretts, a resort in Taupo, New Zealand.

While we have been provided with a site layout and basic colour scheme, the implementation of this design does not meet the client's needs for a modern, inviting looking site.

We require a designer to work within the outline structure of the site and provide design elements to lift the design. We envisage that these design elements would include styling of the menus, building of the colour schemes from the base colours, home page design.

If you are unsure of the parameters please post a question indicating elements you would like to change and we can comment on feasibility.

We have attached the original design concept and some of the wire framing that we developed from that.

The site has four major sections, each requiring its own, subtly different, colour scheme - these schemes are to be based on the colours in the client's logo (attached). Obviously there does need to be consistency in the colour schemes across the site. The colours from the logo apply as follows:
* Stay (accommodation) - "Orange"
* Soak (Hot Springs and water park) - "Green"
* Soothe (Spa Resort) - "Beige"
* Savour (Summary of experience) - "Choc Brown"

We require the design for 2 pages:
* Home
* Detail Page (eg Family Accommodation)

Design must be flexible in that if we decide at a later date to add another block to the RH area (for example) we are able to while maintaining the integrity of the design.

Menu items include dropdowns.

We are not happy with the current layout of the HOME page and require a full redesign of this.

The resort is 5 star, but also offers camping facilities. The design therefore needs to reflect the high quality of the resort, while also being accessible to those on a budget.

Final deliverable is preferred in layered PNG, but .eps is acceptable. .ai is not acceptable.
