Logo Design Brief

Business card logo/design for small business which repairs computer, builds custom computers and provides web and email services. The major idea here is a logo that won't get me sued by Paramount, since I can't use an image of THAT Spock.

I will be building computers to spec for folks who are getting into computers in their later/retirement years and require hand-holding/personal attention. I also set up custom email accounts, web pages/blogs and register personal domains on their behalf.

I also do seminars on elementary computer security, password creation, spam/phishing education. I am teaching parents/grandparents how to manage passwords and stay safe and identify attempts to phish their personal info. If they get a questionable email, I am the guy they can text or call to give them a quick answer. I am the person they can call who can cut through the jargon and make technology explicable and a tool they can use, rather than baffling and an expensive paperweight.

Requirements

Must have

• Looking for something colorful and retro (technology as seen from the "Jetsons" perspective, or 1950s "World of Tomorrow"-type shorts. Something with an MST3K (Mystery Science Theater 3000) vibe.

Nice to have

• Silhouettes or abstract representations of Saint Spock.
• Retro-style representations of computers that would appeal to an older demographic who didn't grow up with a PC, but who will get the joke.

Should not have

• Nothing that look identifiably like Leonard Nimoy. The name sets up the joke, I need a logo that brings off the punchline.
