A Better You

THE GIST:
This movie is a portrait of a happy hypnotherapist, and it's a comedy. The idea is that Dr. Ron (Brian Huskey, who co-wrote, as well), a self-published how to help yourself book kind of guy, is getting a divorce from his wife, Margo (Morgan Walsh). They have two young kids, Gaia and Mohawk, who are caught in the cross hairs. Yes, I know…it sounds serious, but it’s a comedy. The film makes light of a person’s troubles, and kind of pokes fun at his lifestyle…a hypnotherapist, who is struggling, but wants to make it desperately, yet doesn’t know himself well enough to take on clients of his own, and try to help them with their struggles…or at least he thinks he does have the strength and where-withal to do so, but keeps failing miserably at it, and feeling his mistakes and shortcomings. But, he keeps going on…and his clients are hilarious. Horatio Sanz plays the handyman guru, Hugo, who helps Dr. Ron with his problems, while fixing Ron’s house up. Joel (Andy Daly) is Dr. Ron’s neighbor, who is judgmental, brutally honest, and hides his disgruntled behavior with politeness. Patrick (Matt Walsh, who also directed) is Dr. Ron’s client who works as a car salesman, and wants to quit smoking, so he can get his swag back…but really, going to Dr. Ron, is making him have more troubles, and he likens it to going to the hospital to get help with your cold, and coming out with pneumonia. Lindsay (Erinn Hayes) is the potential love interest of Dr. Ron, and she comes to him to stop her nail biting. It doesn’t work in the end, but will their love connection spark, fan into a flame? We don’t know, ultimately, but the ride is nice, all the while, and I’d definitely give this film 2 mesmirizing thumbs up!!

Dr. Ron Knight is a low rent hypnotherapist in the valley area of Los Angeles. He’s one of those guys whose advertisements on bus benches, late night TV ads and self-published books are easily mocked, but Dr. Ron gets results. He can cure anyone! Anyone but himself, because Dr. Ron's life is falling apart. His wife wants a divorce. He's lost touch with his kids. He has no real friends to speak of. And he needs to lose the toupee' Dr. Ron turns to Hugo, a Mexican handyman he hires, and learns from a complete stranger that he must first fix himself, before he can fix others. And, maybe if Ron Knight can be a better dad, husband and friend…he might be A BETTER YOU.

Although you may come up with your own, and we welcome them…we want each character in these pictures photoshopped to show off each individual, and not necessarily have each shot be original, in that it would remain as a group shot, instead of that of an individual. In other words, you can split these shots off, to highlight the individuals. I usually named them to highlight which character I thought the shot best highlighted.
