Logo Design Brief

I need a company logo design which will be placed on web page, business card, stationary. Company name is "Speer Medical Technologies LLC". We develop therapeutics for cancer, human illness and infectious disease. As mentioned above, we use proprietary targeted ablative material on a micrometer and nanometer scale. I don't have any color restrictions (which can always be refined) but the design should personify technology, hope, future and cure.
