Logo Design Brief
NEW 1: I HAVE NOW INCLUDED A 'Design Text style guide' PDF. Please read!
NEW 2: WALKING IMAGES (Walking 1-9) - ONE OF THESE MUST BE USED AS TEMPLATE FOR HUMAN DEPICTED ON LOGO, TOGETHER WITH COUNTER ROTATING SPIRALS AS DESCRIBED IN BRIEF [similar configuration to supplied image (but not exactly the same... be creative!) must be used on torso (neck optional)].
I need a striking logo which encapsulates my work.
Please read the attached design brief, style guide, view images and the text below CAREFULLY AND THOROUGHLY otherwise you will waste your time and mine! Many thanks :)
The project is called 'The Energy Efficient Human' but the logo will prominently communicate the 'E2' branding (E2 is short for 'energy efficient'). Another point: I would prefer the 'e' and '2' to be next to one another to make it more readable... e2 plus image is the key branding!
The logo design work needs to contain two versions of the logo, with the same image/artwork but different text (see attached brief).
Designer needs to be adept at depicting the human body.
Colours that I like: light blue, oceanic type blues,
If you choose to include the whole body as part of the design, it should be depicted either standing or walking (see 'walking poise' pdf for preferred depiction of walking postures -).
Please refer to:
1) Design brief attached for a more detailed spec and
2) The design idea jpg which shows some similarities with what I'm looking for in the artwork.
3) Design text style guide which gives more explanation of how the text should look, feel and a few examples of the kind of presentation that I like.
These three files are the most important to look at because I have quite definite ideas about what I am looking for. I have also included a summary of what I am working on - the first few pages will help you gain more of a feel for the project.
You will see from reading the summary of my work that I started out as a Tai Chi teacher (which I still am, but I have diversified!). However, I don't want any figures doing Tai Chi included because often I am not marketing what I do as Tai Chi i.e. I have remodelled and repackaged it.
If you have any questions please get in touch.
Many thanks and enjoy!
Alex
Updates
Dear Designers
Many thanks for your interest and submissions so far. I have tweaked the brief slightly, made my preferences a bit more detailed (and hopefully clearer) and added some more guidance.
Please contact me if anything remains unclear. It will save your time and increase your chances of success.
With very best wishes
Alex

Hello. Now that I have received quite a lot of designs back I now have a clearer idea of what guidance people need and what I am looking for. So, I have produced a text style guide which includes some clearer direction on what I am looking for and the kind of things I like, particularly regarding how the text is presented.
Please have a look at this if you want to (re)submit a design. Many thanks, Alex

I invite you to be creative but don't get too arty and vague, because they must look precise!) must be used on torso (neck optional). Because the image of the human needs to be compact, you do not need to add as many loops as the supplied image - minimal is good so one loop could be enough, as long as the direction and general idea of counter-rotation comes across].

Project Deadline Extended
Reason: Dear Designers
Apologies for the delay in providing feedback to many of you. The deadline has been extended so I have enough time to feedback properly and then for you to resubmit designs etc.
This is a big investment for me and I have guaranteed the payment to the winning designers, so I must get it right and at the same time make the process fair to all of you too.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
With best wishes, Alex
