Logo Design Brief

We are a modern church and want to stay away from the traditional symbols like the dove and cross, and we would like to emphasize the word LIFE like the example I uploaded.
We are open to a simple flower to be incorporated into the logo, but not too big or obvious. Perhaps if the dot of the "i" in LIFE was made into a subtle flower....or something like that.
We also love the Hillsong logo which I have uploaded as well.
We don't have a current colour scheme, but black and white seems to be pretty timeless and current.
