Packaging Design Brief
We are a socially -conscious start up sandwich brand based in the UK that provides a platform (through the packaging) for local charities to gain more awareness.
Each product is attributed a charity.
Some more specs include:
- the packaging is a standard triangular sandwich wedge.
- the template must leave room or include the legal requirements for those included on those types of sandwiches i.e nutritional information and allergens (preferably at the bottom) ingredients (preferably at the back) -Comply with UK law.
-on the front there must be a space for the price and 'use by' date to be printed on.
- on the front there must be a place to include the name of that particular sandwich e.g. Tuna and Sweetcorn.
- the front and side panels must be high impact, visually attractive to the discerning customer. You must portray our ethical, local, social practices.
- we will be placing a round sticker on the front that tells customers which charity that particular sandwich is supporting so you may need to leave room on the front for that.
- include our key info which is www.standwiches.org.uk

We also need a logo that conveys our values:
So our name is 'STANDwiches' and our tagline is: 'Supporting YOUR local charities'
Ideas for inclusion:
- britishness (the union jack colours maybe faded into the actual text, or elsewhere?)
- the STAND part of our name could be emphasised, maybe in bold, larger text, or incorporated into a symbol such as a demonstration plackard, or the 'T' made larger to look like it is a 'hug' or 'incorporating lots of different people' (bringing them together).
- as we are working with local charities and vulnerable people, there may be options there; maybe a 'halo' on one of the letters or a 'bandage' to show vulnerable people, or any other such iconography that is in line with our agenda.
