Book Cover Design Brief
This is a near-future science-fiction thriller in which a software engineer and a nurse become unlikely allies as they attempt to stop a bizarre epidemic of aggression and paranoia.
It's 2034, and society is dominated by technology and almost bankrupt of direct human contact. Phoebe Bernhart is a nurse in the "neuro ward" at Grady Hospital in Atlanta when her youngest brother becomes one of the first victims of what is soon dubbed Hyper-Aggression Disorder. When Phoebe suspects a technological cause, her strange, beautiful, antisocial new acquaintance, Mila Bremer, a software engineer, agrees to help. Mila may be part of the cure... or she may be the cause... or maybe she'll prove to be indifferent to the fates of thousands of people, including Phoebe's brother.
The cover definitely needs to say SCIENCE FICTION. Ideally it should say THRILLER as well. And maybe HACKING.
There are two female main characters so any people portrayed should be women. One has curly blonde hair and one has straight brown hair; both are Caucasian.
The main plot centers around hacking and around the devices that are called Navis that are basically smartphones implanted in people's brains.

The design needs to be suitable for PRINT (trade paperback) as well as ebook (so please show front and back covers in the design).

Requirements
Nice to have
- Ideas...
- 1) a female eye (or set of eyes) that is modified to look cybernetic in some way, on a high-tech looking background
- 2) two women's faces side-by-side, both Caucasian, one with long straight brown hair and one with long curly blonde hair, with the brunette having "weird" eyes---a color that isn't natural for brunettes or cybernetic looking or something. The blonde would have normal blue eyes.
- 3) a woman with a malevolent look and one or both eyes cybernetic looking
- 4) The first half or two third of the book is in hospitals. So, people in white coats melded into an interesting tech-looking background might be good.
- 6) In general, people looking like they could be crazy people (straitjackets? or just facial expressions or something) melded with high-tech-looking elements.
- A good background might be a night-time big city. Not recognizable as any particular city, though.

Should not have
- Cyborgs or robots.
- UFOs.
- A recognizable skyline unless it is Atlanta, Georgia.
- Male people (the two main characters are female, so let's make any people on the front cover female)... unless you're doing the "crazy people" cover, in which case, the primary character who goes crazy in the book is a 18-year-old white male with blond curly hair.
- "THE" should not be larger than "CRAZYMAKERS." It is okay to hyphenate CRAZYMAKERS into two lines:
- CRAZY-
- MAKERS
