Logo Design Brief

Café au Play is a coffee house establishment targeted to stay-at-home mothers or daytime caregivers with children five and younger. It has a warm café atmosphere and a place where adults find interaction, friends, conversation and a safe and suitable play area for their children. In addition to café fare of coffee, espresso and latte drinks, Moms and children will find suitable refreshments, light fare and unique snacks to complete the café experience.

The logo needs to communicate that is a place that is kid-friendly, and simultaneously communicate that it has a café ambiance, what one would find a cafe that serves espresso and latte drinks, with background music and decor in line with expectations . The logo will be used as the primary storefront signage in a location that's in suburban Philadelphia. In a glance it has to say: coffee with kids welcome. As a mom, I can bring kids there and get a coffee and friend break. It's not fast food, it's not cheesy,it has atmosphere and products that rivals any grown-up café.

Target Market(s)

Young moms, age 25-40 years old with children age 0-5. College + educated, tends to be upper-middle to upper income.
