Briefly describe your business history and how it shaped what it is now.
I was in pharmaceutical sales and became very sick in my 20s. I actually only tried colonics and nutrition to prove to my family that it would not work (as I was very western medical-minded). Along the way, as I started to get better, it was my own mind-set that changed.
I am a 3rd generation practitioner. My grandfather started a colon-hydrotherapy establishment, then my Mom and now me.
All of the girls that work here have their own sickness-to-health story. This is very powerful with clients: all of our therapists used to be very sick and are now well because of colonics and the proper nutrition. (we have to be careful since we are not doctors: we cannot diagnose or claim to cure anything)
Who is your target audience? Please describe demographics such as age range, lifestyles, buying behavior, attitudes, and so on.
Typically - Women between the ages of 35-65, middle-upper class, want to get healthy fast, freedom to make large purchases.
Our clients are 3/4 women and 1/4 men. Our two types of clientele are either: 1. highly motivated to lose weight or, 2. they are very (sometimes chronically) ill and nothing that western medicine has suggested was helpful.
We do have plenty of clients that come in once or twice a week and have done so for years - maintenance and preventative treatments.
Our approach is very personal while maintaining a highly professional atmosphere. It's not sterile or medical feeling at all - it's very comfortable and calming. More regular clients often tell us that they look forward to seeing us and we talk about our lives and families. In that way, they become like friends.
New clients come in feeling nervous and fearful of the unknown. We have a team of therapists that are very skilled at calming those fears quickly. We explain things very thoroughly and frame the process so that the client knows exactly what to expect.
Please describe the weaknesses of your current branding/identity? The more details here, the better.
People don't know all the different services that we offer, because we have added so many and we haven't been able to succinctly communicate the breadth and depth of all that we do.
This seems to be kind of a dis-connect because we don't have a uniform identity.
We are first and foremost Colon Hydro-therapists. We also have a deep-tissue water massage table (no therapist required). We also sell hair analysis and order blood work to understand nutritional deficiencies. We offer Standard Process Whole Food Supplements to correct nutritional deficiencies and aid with things like digestion and detoxing from both environmental, food and heavy metal toxins. We sell Lipotropic B-12 weight loss injections, offer oxidative-stress urine analysis, and offer botanical body wraps.
Basically the question has become: what is our identity? People walk in to our office all the time asking, "So what all do you guys do here?" If we can answer this question succinctly, we are on the right track. So far, we don't have a one sentence answer to this question. We need one.

Do you have a tag line or mantra for your business?
Yes: "Get Clean-Get Well", "3Generations of Experience", "3 Generations of Digestive Experience" -- we are very open to change in this area.
What does the target audience think and feel about the current brand?
They are confused and/or nervous about the idea of colon hydrotherapy.
What do we want them to think and feel with the new brand?
Health, Trust, Warmth, Wisdom, Faith, Thin, Beauty, Ideal Life, Now that you have found us = your problems are Handled.

What makes your business and its products/services different from similar offerings in the marketplace?
We have great customer service, lots of experience and a clean professional environment, and we understand! We always try to meet people where they are (emotionally) and we make sure they feel heard. Often, no one has bothered to stop and really listen to them about their struggles.

Spring-because it is the season of newness (new start), refreshing, light, full of promise and hope.
What are some specific visual goals the branding should convey? Be specific with imagery or concepts that you visualize.
Professional - attractive - capable - unique
I hesitate to be specific with imagery just because I feel stuck in my old ways of thinking...thin waist, skinny visuals. We've used water a lot too, in the past, because it makes people think "clean". These all feel very one-dimensional.
