Logo Design Brief

The Asian American Society of Central Virginia (AASoCV) www.aasocv.org is seeking for a designer to create a logo (vector format/scalable) for our annual event – the Asian American Celebration, with full copyright rights.

The Asian American Celebration is the Central Virginia Region’s premiere annual celebration of Asian culture and tradition. A collaborative effort of over 16 Asian communities under the banner of the AASoCV, this unique showcase features educational and eye-opening displays of culture; entertaining and exciting performances; unique community vendors and exhibitors; and tantalizing, delectable culinary treats.

The logo should reflect the unique nature of the event and can include colors, shapes, figures, and geographic representations. The logo should refrain from the use of religious symbols, flags, and distinctive or recognizable historical figures. There is no preference on overall shape, but it should be something that will offer maximum flexibility of use (vertical and horizontal uses such as banners, letterhead etc.). This logo shall be used each year so it is preferred that the date/year not be included in the design.
