We need a logo to represent our consortium. We are a consortium of researchers from RAND, Tulane, LSU and Univ of South Alabama who received a grant that was funded by the BP oil spill settlement to study the socioeconomic impacts of the 2010 oil spill on Gulf of Mexico communities. Specifically, our consortium will be surveying residents about health impacts as well as studying the economic impacts on industries such fisheries and tourism. Our results will be used to provide communities with information and training on ways to make them more resilient to future oil spills or other impactful events.
The Gulf states affected were Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas. The logo could depict the shoreline.
The logo should include the name of the consortium.
To depict the socioeconomic perspective, the logo should include both people and fish. That may be the easiest was but we are completely open to designers ideas.
Updates
Thanks to all those who have submitted designs. One thing that seems to be missing from all of them is the human component. We'd like to convey both people (or even the concept of communities) and fisheries (fisheries more so than fish but fish are okay). Thanks.
