Simple logo - mandala symbol

This is what No text required, just logo icon at this stage was looking for in their logo design

I need a logo design for a new entity around philanthropy.

At this stage I am just looking to secure an icon, a full lock-up with company name in a cool font can come later.

The icon must be based on the Hindu and Buddhist symbol of a mandala.

Mandala circles are usually very detailed, making use of many colours and repeating patterns however I need a circular icon that functions well as a logo. To this end I feel that the logo must:
- be restricted to two colours (from this palette https://kuler.adobe.com/Japyon-color-theme-2753238/)+ the use of black/ greyscale if needed
- be simple enough to be represented in greyscale only, but detailed enough to infer a reference to the classic mandala presentation
- include ample white space in the repeating design that it would work well in an inverse version
